about

Based on Void's personal experience of temporarily losing her home when the first lockdown hit Berlin. Being ultimately able to find refuge in the houses of friends until her apartment was inhabitable, Void and Fricot self produced the track and video with all the means that quarantine and social distancing afforded them. Opening with an almost lullaby before transporting us right into the center of a sonic apocalypse, “Give Me Shelter” pushes us around with a harsh drum beat through a mesh of electric guitars, rhodes keyboards and disintegrating Hammond organs. The two are using "Give Me Shelter" as a springboard to fundraise for the Strassenfeger Organization that supports the homeless and those that truly need shelter (and love).

**We're releasing this song on Bandcamp a week before it is officially releases. All proceeds on band camp day will be towards the Strassenfeger e.V. that provide shelter and support the homeless in Berlin.

lyrics

And the babies they don't know
Oh how I wish I didn't have to
And the children they don't grow
In a world we're so afraid of

Give me shelter now, give me love
I dare to say it out loud
Give me shelter now, give me love

And we're running around
oh how the circle's getting smaller
So we're hiding inside
Just to sit down and wait
And we're running around
oh how the circle's getting smaller
So we're hiding inside
Just to sit down and wait

Give me shelter now, give me love
I dare to say it out loud
Give me shelter now, give me love

And the babies they don't know
Oh how I wish I didn't have to
